- Our Valle de Los Caballos site groundbreaking ceremony, held last week, marked the official launch of the series of critical water reliability projects that form a part of our Groundwater Expansion Program. The event featured aerial hot air balloon and golf cart tours of the project sites and a vintage water hand pump ceremony. Local dignitaries underscored the importance of addressing California’s water challenges, especially as the region faces increasing pressure from drought and a hotter, drier climate. We would like to thank the host of federal, state, and local leaders who attended, including Senator Kelly Seyarto (32nd Senate District), Riverside County Supervisor Chuck Washington, and Aron King, Southern California Area Manager for the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation.

For the second consecutive year, the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) #WaterSense program has named Rancho Water a Partner of the Year! We are honored to receive this award again and look forward to continue supporting the EPA WaterSense program's vital messaging and conservation efforts. Rancho Water, one of only a select few nationwide recipients, has been commended for its ongoing commitment to advancing water efficiency. Through community outreach, educational programs, and participation in EPA WaterSense initiatives such as Fix a Leak Week and Sprinkler Spruce-Up, we work to stay at the forefront of helping consumers make water-smart choices. - Have you seen our new Director of Administration?? 🔍 Because we are still searching for them! If you have seen someone who looks like an effective leader that enjoys engaging with the community and elected officials, overseeing a multitude of essential departments, and has past supervisory experience in public utility... please encourage them to apply! We can't wait to see who drops in! 💧 The Director of Administration job posting can be found at RanchoWater.com/Careers.
- Here's a more in-depth explanation of the process behind the award-winning, well-depth measurement system created by our Electrical Services team. Their hard work & innovation has already changed the way we track information at our well sites & will soon be available for other water agencies to implement within their service areas. We are so proud of our team! #workingforourcommunity
- Rancho Water is so honored to be named 2024 Large Business of the Year by the Murrieta Wildomar Chamber of Commerce. We love working for our community!
- Rancho Water received this year's Project of the Year Award from the California Special Districts Association (CSDA) for our incredible Electrical Services team's development of an innovative well-depth measurement system (WDMS). This groundbreaking system significantly improves upon traditional measurement methods – an important tool for monitoring water levels in drought-prone California. Conventional practices in well-depth measurement require significant human labor, are susceptible to inaccuracies, and necessitate frequent maintenance. The WDMS automates the well-depth measurement process, eliminating the inefficiencies and limitations of manual methods. Following prototype development and implementation, the WDMS is now functional in many of the District’s wells and consistently delivers precise and reliable water measurements. It offers a cost-effective, accurate, and low-maintenance solution to well monitoring that is scalable and easily integrated into existing wells. The District plans to share its design with other water agencies so they may replicate this solution for their water infrastructure. Thank you to the @CaliforniaSpecialDistrictsAssociation for the recognition, and a huge congratulations to everyone behind this innovative new system, we are incredibly proud to have you all on the Rancho Water team 🎉

During his tenure, he oversaw key departments including, customer service, IT, administration, and water use efficiency. His strong leadership and innovative approaches have played a vital role in the District’s success and community impact. Upon accepting the position, Mr. Martin shared his enthusiasm for the new position, "Stepping into this role is a true privilege. I look forward to working closely with the Board, our staff, and the community to ensure Rancho Water continues to lead the way in sustainable water management, innovation, and service excellence."
