About us

Suncoast Behavioral Health Center is a free-standing psychiatric facility located in Bradenton, Florida. The facility provides inpatient, residential and outpatient services for children and adolescents who are experiencing emotional and behavioral issues. Our treatment approach is designed to offer evidence-based care from an interdisciplinary team to help patients successfully return to their families, home, and community. We pride ourselves on providing the highest level of healthcare services to our patients, never losing sight of the fact that we are caring and comforting those in need with compassion, dignity, and respect.

Congratulations to our Employee of the Month for July, Hannah, RN. Hannah goes above and beyond as an RN. She exemplifies teamwork by changing her schedule to meet the needs of the facility. She changes her schedule, picks up extra shifts, and performs as a Night Supervisor. Hannah is so appreciated by her co-workers and everyone in between! Congratulations to our Employee of the Month, Liala. Liala has shown to be a great asset to the team by providing ongoing education to all staff and taking on the patient advocate role. She is always coming up with ways to make patients and staff engage appropriately to improve safety! We are lucky to have Liala on our team!

We had the pleasure of hosting Florida State Representative Will Robinson. We were able to talk about the great things that Suncoast and Palm Shores are doing for Florida's (including Manatee County) kids regarding mental health services. Included in his visit was a quick tour further explaining how the process works and more specifically, what and how we do things. Representative Robinson asked questions along the way and expressed his appreciation for what we do.
