Thank you to Faridah Saifi MD,MPH,CIC, Director of Infection Prevention at Centennial Hills Hospital. Faridah recently presented to residents at Sun City Aliante on Flu or Common Cold, What is the Difference? She discussed the difference between the symptoms for cold and flu, things you can do to help with recovery and most important, ways to help prevent the spread. She also offered tips on hand washing and the importance of maintaining distance by staying home when you have symptoms.
Congratulations to Maria Lara, West Henderson Hospital nurse educator, who recently earned a pair of key certifications! The Nursing Professional Development (NPD-BC) certification focuses on lifelong learning, skill enhancement and career growth and the Nursing Informatics certification (NI-BC) is a specialty credential for informatics nurses that confirms their abilitiy to understand technology in a healthcare setting. Great job, Maria, and thank you for your hard work to earn this credentials to benefit our patients!
