  The great outdoors first inspired Dr. Rosa Gwinn to become a scientist. Today, it’s the well-being of communities that continues to drive her success at AECOM. As our Global PFAS Technical Lead, Dr. Gwinn applies her expertise to some of the nation’s greatest contamination challenges. Her work alongside our environmental and water professionals ensures clean drinking water for countless communities well into the future. Now an AECOM Fellow, Dr. Gwinn is mentoring a new generation of equally driven environmental scientists. • “To delve into our business strategy, celebrate our work and contributions, forge new connections, and strengthen existing friendships, our Ground Engineering team from the Geotechnical business line organized a half-day retreat program on October 18, 2024. The rejuvenating event has brought together approximately 60 team members, from newly onboarded early professionals to seasoned senior leaders. We kicked off with a Value Moment, which I presented, to set the tone for the day. Johnny Cheuk, Vice President, Civil Infrastructure & Geotechnical, gave a warm welcome and an AECOM overview to the participants. Clayton Chan, Director of Operations for Geotechnical, Linus Fong, Executive Director, and myself offered insights into our current status and future directions, highlighting team achievements and thought leadership, and outlining upcoming opportunities. Team-building activities were organized to foster social bonds, underscore the importance of effective communication and collaboration, and cultivate a deeper understanding and appreciation of our individual roles within teams and projects.
