(Mg,Al)V4+S2(OH)2
Name:
Named in honor of Nikolai Pavlovich Yushkin (Николай Павлович Юшкин) (20 May 1936, Kalinin region, USSR - 17 September 2012, Syktyvkar, Russia), mineralogist at the Institute of Geology of the Komi Scientific Center of the Ural Institute of Economics, head of the Department of Geology of Syktyvkar State University. He was interested in the mineral resources of the northern European part of Russia and the Urals. He served as vice-president of both the International Mineralogical Association and the Russian Mineralogical Society.
The structure is a "commensurate combination of brucite and sulfide layers".
