First Impression of Unibet

This review will reflect the service offered at the specific point in time. I signed up on the desktop version of Unibet, but also used the mobile version to compare, as well as the Unibet app. Unibet gives punters plenty to choose from with a huge range of local betting markets including horse racing betting, hundreds of football Leagues, US sports, tennis, boxing and more. Unibet also offers a diverse range of markets on more obscure sports like volleyball, handball, and esports. While the site is easy to navigate, one thing that lets it down is a hang-up from sports betting, signposting various markets as “leagues” which can be a little confusing. It’s a minor quibble, however, because the actual product on offer is very good, especially its “In the Spotlight” tabs, which rotate particular markets at varying times.

Unibet are offering a lot of promos especially on horse racing. Every big festival meeting they come up with something and I am spending more time betting with them ever before. I like the free bet club and extra place specials. If they carry on in this vein I expect I will drop another bookie and use Unibet for other sports.

Unibet seems to offer a large amount of bets on all kinds of sports and marktets. Their quick deposit and (especially) withdrawals are a huge plus as well. Compared to other bookmakers they seem to have better odds than most on the more popular markets meaning that is always a decent place to bet at. The few downsides are first of all the restrictions that can be placed uopn players, the incompleteness within certain markets, and finally the absence of a native dark mode.

I am a withdrawer with this site. I found that I wasn't allowed to bet on certain futures markets after winning with them. They would send me a message saying your maximum stake is 0,evenifIjusttriedtobet0, even if I just tried to bet 0,evenifIjusttriedtobet1. Also, reusing selections I've already made sometimes isn't allowed. It's good to have around in case I want it but for limiting options, I have to say not 100% recommended.

Tried to put a £30 ante post bet on a team to win the Championship and was restricted to £4!! Tried to get approval for the full amount and was rejected. Possibly I am restricted but they won't even tell me if I am. Website very user unfriendly. Couldn't even withdraw my money when I closed my account because of their inflexibility. Had to ring up to get it. Same website as 888. Complete waste of space.. .

“Blocked from registering due to their systems problem.”

I was blocked from registering. It appears I had been a member of some old betting company many years ago, which must be linked to Unibet (either bought out, or they changed their name). I never deposited any money or placed any bets, received bonuses etc. I tried to call them to discuss it and got a sharp tempers Northern English man lecturing me about multi-accounting etc. I wouldn't trust these people with my money.

“Strange Behaviour”

I had a Unibet account for quite a while, at least 5 years+ then all of a sudden I get an email saying my account is being closed due to me not meeting certain criteria set by their credit agency.. No reason given, which is bizarre seeing as a). I earn 100k a year and b). I don't hold a credit account with them, just a bog standard "depsoit cash and then bet" account, so why on earth does that make me a credit risk ???
