About Lesodi Trail

The Lesodi Trail in Tzaneen is an extraordinary one abundant with birds and animals. The route begins at the Sanford Heights Tea room and trails down through a superb secluded indigenous forest where you will be able to spot a vast variety of birds including the Cape Parrot, Loerie and the Narina Trogon.

Along the way you will find some fantastic places to stop and admire the spectacular view. A group of Samango monkeys have been known to inhabit the area as well as a few other small animals. The outstanding Cathedral tree and Strangler Figs are ones to keep your eyes peeled for. Maps and points of interest are available at the Magoebaskloof Hotel and the Sandford Heights Nursery at the beginning of the trail.
