In the quaint village of Botrivier, below the Howehoek Mountains you will find the Feiteiras Wine Cellar. The farm still has a very unique feature, a working pole basket press brought by the owner from Portugal. 'Known as a �lagar� in Portugal the wooden press is housed in a 3m x 3m open fermentation tank with pressure supplied via a 7 m wooden pole with a diameter of 700 mm and driven by a wooden screw worm'.
The farm has half a hectare of Verdelho from Portugal, maintaining the families Portuguese connections. With a fantastic selection of grapes, the farm are producing outstanding Reds including Cabernet, Shiraz, Merlot, Petir Verdot and Mourvedre.
