About Zevenwacht Wine Estate

Zevenwacht is positioned on a historically significant site where the Tin Mines operated in the period before the First World War. The machinery and shafts are still visible on the estate and really gives insight of this incredible commercial enterprise. Top quality grapes grown on these sites produce a glorious white and red blend to form two Tin Mine blends. Zevenwacht means �Seven Expectations� and really alludes to all the great things that guests can expect when visiting.

Aside from being a leading wine estate, they also boast a restaurant, cheesery and spa. The winemaker, Jacques Viljoen, works hard to coax the very best from the grapes as they believe that quality begins right in the vineyard. The vineyards are planted over 120 hectares and include red and white noble varietals. Their range of wines includes Chenin Blanc, Pinotage, Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah.

Cheese and wine pairings at Zevenwacht are now offered with these authentic Puglia Italian cheeses. These magnificent cheeses can also be purchased at our Wine Tasting Centre�s new cheese and chocolate deli.
