Elandsvlei Chalet is a self catering holiday cottage in Mookgopong with two bedrooms.

The main bedroom is furnished with two single beds which can be converted to a King-size bed. The second room is furnished with two single beds and a third bed can be added for one extra guest. One bathroom is fitted with a shower, toilet and basin and the other is fitted with a bath / shower combination, toilet and basin.

The kitchen is fully equipped and includes coffee, tea and sugar. Outside is a covered patio and in front of the chalet is a braai area, firewood provided. A covered boma provides shaded seating on the dam's edge where there is a small sand beach. Free Wi-Fi is available.

Attractions

Giraffes, buffalo, eland, kudu, gemsbok, zebra, wildebeest and many other species reside on the farm. This beautiful mountain location has many roads and trails that are ideal for hiking, running, and mountain biking. The estate's dams are great for fishing, and guests are welcome to try their luck fishing for various species including tilapia, bream and catfish.

Game drives can be arranged at an additional fee per person, and include 2+ hours of game viewing, as well as sundowner drinks and snacks in a beautiful location.

We absolutely loved our stay there as a family and were warmly welcomed by Nicolas. Being at this secluded chalet on the Elandsvlei Estate was amazing for relaxation and bonding for us as a family, away from the noise and hustle and bustle of city life. The unit is very neat with a modern look and feel, and probably one of the best kitted self-catering places we have stayed in. A big win in the evenings was that during loadshedding slots, backup power was provided through a generator somewhere on the estate. That was bliss. Things we also enjoyed were: having our meals by the lapa next to the dam, taking short game drives to view some of the game on the estate (we were sad not to come across any buffalo), taking in the wonder of a star-lit sky at night. In our experience, the peace and tranquility of this place is unparalleled. Thank you Nicolas for this absolute gem. We hope to try out your farmhouse with some friends in the future.
