The cottage has two bedrooms and both are furnished with a double bed. There are two bathrooms each with a shower only.

The dining room has a pullout single bed. The kitchen is well-equipped kitchen (perfect for a self catering holiday) and leads through to a sitting room and dining room.

Additional Facilities

There is no TV or Wi-Fi at the cottage but if need be, Wi-Fi can be arranged at the main farmhouse. There are braai facilities and guests can make use of the large swimming pool. There is secure parking available for our guests.

Activities & Attractions

There are many birds on the farm so birding enthusiasts should pack their binoculars! Bathurst is close by (5 km) and has restaurants and pubs, and very interesting to visit.

Port Alfred is 10km away and has lovely beaches and a golf course. Sweet Fountain Cottage is 7km away from the Bathurst Agricultural Museum and 10 minutes' drive from Port Alfred.

We had a lovely stay with our 2 little kids. The surroundings are stunning and perfectly relaxing. We also loved the pool and went for walks and runs in the surrounding area - which was great fun!

We loved our visit at Sweet Fountain Cottage. We swam in the crystal pool, admired the cows in the fields below, and relaxed in the shady and tranquil surroundings. There was good food in nearby quaint Bathurst, and beach access ten minutes away in Port Alfred. What an enjoyable holiday - we will be back!
