Guests can enjoy exclusive use of the entire lodge with four elegant suites, ideal for a family or group looking to experience the Big 5 in a private and exclusive setting. The game reserve is located 220 km from Johannesburg.

Self Catering Accommodation

Kubu Metsi Lodge is a thatched lodge consisting of four air-conditioned bedrooms with a King-size bed and a child-only sleeper couch in each. Each room has a full en-suite bathroom with a bath, shower, toilet and a basin. There is also an outdoor shower. Bed linen and bathroom towels are provided.

The main area includes an open-plan kitchen, lounge and a dining area. The fully equipped kitchen is perfect for self catering and includes a fridge / freezer, an oven, stove, a microwave, a Nespresso machine as well as an ice machine. The lodge is equipped with free Wi-Fi throughout.

The lodge features a lovely BBQ / braai area, a swimming pool.

We have business facilities and guests have access to a gym which is shared with our two "sisters lodges" guests.

The Area

Black Rhino Game Reserve forms part of the Pilanesberg National Park. Activities in the area include guided bush walks, golf, hot-air balloon flights and Sun City is located 34 km from the lodge.

What is loadshedding? It refers to the temporary suspension of electricity provided by Eskom, South Africa's electricity provider, to reduce consumption and thereby the load on the national grid.
