Who is Miranda Hart married to?

Although Miranda has kept the name of her husband under wraps, she's shared some delightful snippets about their romance. She affectionately refers to her other half as 'Mr Mould Guy' or 'The Boy from Bristol', with a little tale of how they first crossed paths.

Recounting their unique meeting, Miranda explained it occurred amid the 2020 lockdown when she sought assistance for a mould issue at her Hampshire home, where he emerged as the project manager from a company addressing the situation.

Miranda disclosed that it didn't take long before they both realised they had "fallen hopelessly in love with each other". The revelation followed that he wasn't just a boyfriend but her spouse, with Miranda sharing: "He's not my boyfriend. He's my husband. We got married when I was fifty-one."

Miranda Hart's health battle

Miranda has opened up about her 30-year struggle with a mysterious illness, revealing she has been diagnosed with Lyme Disease. In her upcoming memoir, I Haven't Been Entirely Honest With You, due out on October 10, Miranda shares her experiences and the moment her health took a drastic turn. The comedian, who has been out of the spotlight for nearly a decade, recalls a particularly distressing encounter with a doctor who dismissed her symptoms as 'TATT' - 'Tired All The Time', leaving her in tears.

Miranda writes in her memoir: "For me it was the unnerving neurological symptoms that I had got initially, aged fourteen, from Lyme, which I always found particularly hard to deal with. And they got considerably worse as I headed into my forties. As did the fatigue from the cell depletion. Yup, all delightful."

Reflecting on the moment she received her diagnosis, Miranda adds: "I got off that Zoom call, pulled my laptop shut and sat there, still and aghast. So many emotions, I was shocked, but I also immediately felt a deep well of sadness and disappointment - for over three decades I'd KNOWN there was something wrong. I recalled all the times I'd told different doctors, I feel toxic and poisoned, or, It's like I have flu every day but I don't have a temperature. 'I just don't know what to do with you.'

"I felt anger rising at the times l'd been told I must have agoraphobia. I would try and treat it as such, when, as it turned out, it was the lack of energy and the extreme light and sound sensitivity that made my body crash when going out to be in any kind of activity or stimulating environment."

In 2017 it came to light that Miranda wouldn't be making a comeback to Call The Midwife, attributing her decision to a hectic work schedule. However, during a stand-up performance in London, she later disclosed that she had been grappling with ill health. For the latest TV & Showbiz news, sign up to our newsletter.
