On October 2, 2000, the Liverpudlian took to the stage at Manchester's Frog and Bucket for his first-ever comedy gig, performing in front of a small crowd. At the time he was working in the pharmaceutical industry during the day, but that night, as he picked up the mic for the first time, he changed his life forever. The tour includes a return performance at the Frog and Bucket in Manchester on October 13, 2025, marking 25 years since his career began.

Reflecting on his journey, John said: "I can't believe that next year it will be 25 years since I first performed at the Frog and Bucket in Manchester. It';s been a rollercoaster! And I can't thank the fans enough who have supported me all the way. I wanted to mark the anniversary with a brand-new tour and do something to say thank you so every ticket throughout the tour will be £25*. I really hope you can come and celebrate with me."

Since his debut performance in October, 2000, John has accomplished a great deal in his remarkable career. Within three years he was entertaining sold-out arena crowds nationwide and had released the fastest-selling stand-up DVD in UK history. He's also appeared in TV shows like Doctor Who and Skins.
