Travis Kelce Seemingly Spent Post-Super Bowl Without Taylor Swift After Skipping Chiefs’ Party (original) (raw)
Travis Kelce leaned on friends, including the Chainsmokers’ Alex Pall and Drew Taggart, following the Kansas City Chiefs loss against the Philadelphia Eagles at Super Bowl LIX.
While the Chiefs’ Super Bowl afterparty on Sunday, February 9, included performances from Quavo, Travis’ friend Machine Gun Kelly and the Chainsmokers, the tight end, 35, opted to skip the party and stay in following the game.
On Monday, February 10, a video was uploaded via X that showed Travis on a FaceTime call with Alex, 39, and Drew, 35, after the Chainsmokers performed a set at the bash. “I just played your f--king party,” the musical duo told Travis about the afterparty.
Despite losing the game 40-22, Travis appeared to be in good spirits as he smiled while speaking to his friends. “Dom is here too,” someone on the phone yelled before the camera was moved to show Travis with DJ Dom Dolla.
It’s not clear who else was spending time with Travis, though his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, notably did not appear in the clip. However, that doesn’t mean she wasn’t there to support Travis. After all, Taylor, 35, was in a private suite at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana, to cheer him and his teammates on during the game.
The “Shake It Off” singer was joined by her family members and several famous faces in her suite, including Ice Spice, the Haim sisters, Alana, Este and Danielle Haim, MGK, 34, and more. Despite normally appearing to be in good spirits during Chiefs games, Taylor seemed to be stressed out as she watched the Eagles dominate the game.
While fans are used to seeing Taylor and Travis celebrate his victories together on the field, viewers did not get to see them reunite due to the loss. However, Travis was captured appearing sad as he walked into Taylor’s suite after the game.
Prior to the championship game, Travis had gushed about how supportive Taylor has been of his career ever since the started dating in the summer of 2023. “She’s fully encouraging me to enjoy playing this game,” he said about the “Cornelia Street” singer while appearing on the Stephen A. Smith Show on January 15. “She loves coming to Arrowhead [Stadium] and coming to the games and cheering for me so I got all the support in the world to keep chasing these dreams.”
Travis went on to explain that being in a stable relationship with Taylor has helped make him a better athlete during the latest season.
“That’s the beauty of being in a very strong relationship is that you get that support to be able to come in and focus on your craft,” the professional athlete continued. “Focus on being the best version of you.”

While Travis said he was “as focused as I’ve ever been on my job and being the best player I can possibly be, week in and week out for this team,” he reiterated that it was because he did “have to worry about things off the field.”
