This community was inspired by our love of the book The Fat Fallacy by Dr. Will Clower and the French-style diet it espouses. This is a place to discuss this style of eating and especially a place to post recipes.

For those not familiar with The Fat Fallacy, here is a very general overview of the principles behind this style of eating:

1. Avoid unnatural, processed, "fake" foods: hydrogenated fats, high fructose corn syrup, preservatives, anything you can't readily identify [or pronounce]. 2. Fats, carbohydrates, and real sugar are not the enemy. Your body needs real foods, including fats and carbs, to survive. And to feel full. 3. Slow down and pay attention when you are eating. Take time to enjoy your food. Listen to your body. Stop eating when you are satisfied, not when your plate is empty. 4. Don't graze between meals. Set your table, turn off the TV, sit down, and eat.

We want to encourage members to post recipes, but please do not post recipes that include fake or processed ingredients (margarine, low-fat or fat free dairy products, egg substitutes, fake sugars, et cetera).
