Research paper thumbnail of Improvement of common carp artificial reproduction using enzyme for elimination of egg stickiness

Aquatic Living Resources, 2003

This study summarizes optimization of techniques for common carp artificial propagation including... more This study summarizes optimization of techniques for common carp artificial propagation including improvements of activation solution (AS), the process of insemination, and elimination of egg stickiness. The optimum gamete ratio for good fertilization and hatching rate ranged from ...

Journal of Medicinal Chemistry, 1996

Phosphonate acyclic derivates of guanines, pyrazolo[3,4-d]pyrimidines, and triazolo[4,5-d]-pyrimi... more Phosphonate acyclic derivates of guanines, pyrazolo[3,4-d]pyrimidines, and triazolo[4,5-d]-pyrimidines (8-azaguanines) are inhibitors of the enzyme purine nucleoside phosphorylase (PNPase) with Ki' values ranging from 0.05 to 1.6 microM. These compounds are enzymatically stable congeners of the potent PNPase inhibitor acyclovir diphosphate (53).

Research paper thumbnail of Interleukin 4 and Interferon-Gamma Secretion by Antigen and Mitogen-Stimulated Mononuclear Cells in the Hyper-IgE Syndrome: No TH-2 Cytokine Pattern

Annals of Allergy Asthma & Immunology, 1998

Reports about the cytokine profile secreted by peripheral blood mononuclear cells of patients with hyper-IgE syndrome, however, are controversial, suggesting alternative causes for increased IgE production in this syndrome.
