Meet the new Uber. Today, we're unveiling an entirely new look that will eventually feature a fresh, custom-made typeface, new colors, a redesigned in-app look including animations and more ✨
Introducing our design system: Base We called in Base because it focused on the basics, such as typography, color, grid and iconography, as well as essential elements like buttons, lists and controls.
This year, as we launched our new brand, we explored a bunch of fun splash screen transitions. This was one of our favorite tests. What do you think?

From app launch to the unlock flow, this animation includes a few fun interactions we were exploring for the Jump app. Specifically, we wanted to see if we could get away with enhancing the scan interaction and the unlock animation without being too superfluous or time-consuming.

How might we utilize a richer iOS lock screen widget to provide clarity & help reduce anxiety for Riders during the transition from dispatch to ontrip? Some key requirements were dynamic pickup updates, receiving contextual alerts and having quick access to the safety hub.

For all you type lovers... 🖤

we can't wait to hear from our design systems team who will be talking about how we evolve systems with data and heart at #Schema2022 ⚡️

At Uber we work with massive datasets to help us understand our business. Often times the data we work with contains millions (or more) data points that need to be represented on a map. We created this internal tool, with plans to open source it later this year…stay tuned! 🗺
