NASA's Johnson Space Center reposted Big week for Artemis III 🚀 Just before NASA introduced the Artemis III crew, the SLS solid rocket booster segments arrived in Florida after a six-day rail journey from Utah. Later this year, teams will begin stacking the boosters that create 75% of the thrust needed at launch.
Before Frank Rubio was named to Artemis III, he set a major record aboard the International Space Station: At 371 days, he had the longest consecutive mission for a NASA astronaut. 🚀 Learn more about him in this throwback episode of Houston, We Have a Podcast.
It’s game time! ⚽️ These are just a few of the US host cities – Atlanta, Houston, Boston, and Dallas – for this year’s World Cup, as captured by astronauts soaring approximately 250 miles above on the International @Space_Station . Will you be watching? 👀
Did you know astronauts' eyes & brains can change in space? 👀🧠A new study is taking a closer look at these changes, why they happen, & how long they may persist after returning to Earth. Learn how this will help keep spacefarers healthy on missions to the Moon & Mars!
NASA's Johnson Space Center reposted The Microgravity Science Glovebox (MSG) reached 100K hours of operation! Since 2002, this facility has hosted many experiments while keeping astronauts and the space station contamination-free. Check out photos of MSG’s science throughout the years: go.nasa.gov/4ojP93Q
