Deep Research in Computer is built on our Search as Code architecture. The model writes code that assembles search itself, running thousands of retrieval steps in parallel, tailored to each question. It outperforms legacy Deep Research on every benchmark.

We're integrating Deep Research as a native skill inside Computer. It now connects to the agent harness that powers Computer, with access to search as code generation, long running sandboxes, connectors, tools, and licensed data. Available now to Pro and Max subscribers.

Claude Fable 5 is now available in Computer as an orchestrator model. This is Anthropic's state-of-the-art model for long, complex tasks. Available only to Pro and Max subscribers in Computer.

Yesterday at London Tech Week we announced the Billion Pound Build competition. Teams can enter to secure a share of £1M in Computer credits by using Perplexity Computer to build their company. The pitch phase is open now and closes on 6 July.

Computer queries were nearly 3x as likely as Search queries to require expertise across three or more fields, like law, finance, or biology, in a single request. 23% involved work that never showed up in the same users' Search history.

Per session, Computer runs about 26 minutes of machine work to Search's 33 seconds. It also reaches outside the harness far more, where 7.9% of Computer sessions call an external connector (avg 15 calls per session) versus 1.8% for Search.

Cumulative Computer queries reached 84x their first-week level by the end of the study. Most of them knowledge work queries. Research and analysis (25.8%) and document and asset creation (18.6%) lead, concentrated in software, finance, and marketing.
