10:18 pm - Calling in the Experts...The next morning after the colors were chosen I made a call to Roger, hoping that he'd be free to come help me decorate the nursery. When it comes to decorating and babies those are two things that he loves about as much if not more than shopping. After the phone rang a few times he finally picked up the phone. I smiled when he picked up. "Hey Roger, I was just hoping that you'd be free to help me with a decorating project?"Current Location: Living roomCurrent Mood:  calm |

Roger picked up the phone on the fourth ring. He had been in the other room when it started. "Cupcake!" he exclaimed. It was rare to actually get to hear her voice over the phone these days. "Of course I'm available. Are you decorating the nursery?"

I smiled at the sound of his voice. "Great and yes I am, I was hoping you'd want to help out. I've got the colors picked out all that's left to do is paint and set up after." I explained.

Roger smiled when she said that she had already picked out the colors and everything. "Of course I want to help out. Which colors did you decide on?"

I smiled again happy that he'd agreed to help. "I picked the dusty rose and the sunny yellow." I told him. "How soon can you get here?"

"Well, I think I can get there sometime tomorrow," Roger told her. "It just depends on exactly what time I can fly out." As soon as he got off the phone with her, though, he was calling the airline for a plane ticket.

"Great I'll see you then." I said as I smiled and hung up. After hanging up with Roger I went back to check in on Wes.

I was sitting in a different room than Lilah was at the moment, reading a book on parenting. Not only mothers needed to learn about what to do when their child arrived. "Did you get a hold of Roger?" I asked when she came in.

I smiled at him as I walked into the room. "Yeah I got a hold of Roger and he'll be here tomorrow to help out." I sat down on the arm of the chair looking over his shoulder. "decided to read up on what you're in for?"

"That's good," I said. If Roger was perfect to have around for something, it was to help decorate. Well, he also helped keep Lilah calm, which was always wonderful, too. "Yes, I decided to read up on a few thing. I didn't figure you should be the only one to have to read these." Although they did seem to be tailored towards women.

I smiled at him as he talked. "You didn't have to red them,but it's nice that you did." I sat down next to him. "So anything interesting?"

"Well, some parts left very little to the imagination." And made me thank the gods that I'm not a woman. "I now have a whole new respect on top of the heeps of old respect for pregnant women. I didn't know just exactly how much you went through."

I smiled and kissed him. "You really don't have to read them or at least every section you know." I reminded him as I moved closer to him.

I put my arm around her when she moved closer to me. "Well, I just wanted to understand a little more about what you were going through." I didn't want to be one of those insensitive types.

I smiled and moved closer to him and kissed him. "How did I get lucky enough to end up with you?" I asked only half teasing. He really is a great guy,better than most that I know which is really saying something.

I merely shrugged when she asked how she was lucky enough to end up with me. "I consider myself the lucky one, personally."

I smiled and kissed him. "If you insist, so Roger should be here soon. He's excited about helping out with the room and the baby when she gets here."

"Does Roger need anyone to pick him up from the airport or anything?" I asked Lilah. I'm glad that Lilah will have someone else around to help take care of the baby, along with me.

"Yeah he'll need picked up from the airport. I told him to call when he gets in." It's going to be nice having an extra set of hands around to help out, maybe I can convince him to stay until after the baby's born too.

I nodded when she said that he'd call when he got there. "How long is he planning to stay? He's welcome to stay as long as he wants." I had no problem with an extra person around, especially if he made Lilah as happy as he does.

I shrugged to his question about how long Roger'd be staying. "I'm not sure how long he plans on staying for,but I'm sure we'll find out once he gets here."
