08:59 pm - It's Time..It'd been nine months since I'd gotten the news that I was pregnant. Since then I'd slowly learned to deal with all the changes, as had Wes and Roger. For the last few weeks I'd been having bracstion hicks contractions, which were a bitch, but nothing compared to the real I was assured by several of the women in my birthing class that had already had a child. Wesley'd stopped doing research on the firm every night. Instead he kept busy helping Roger finish the nursery, and constantly hovering around me making sure I was ok.A few times he'd been hovering I'd told him to stop it was annoying. It was three in the morning and I lay in bed staring at the ceiling unable to sleep. I tried to find a comfortable spot to sleep in, when I felt a sharp pain run through my body. "Wes...” I tried shaking him awake as another jolt of pain ripped its way through me. "Wes... wake up" he didn't even move I sighed deeply, trying to slowly breathe, and then I felt it my water broke. "Wesley" I turned the light on, and tried not to panic at the fact that I couldn't seem to get him to wake up.Current Location: Our BedroomCurrent Mood: scared

I hadn't really gotten made at Lilah when she finally told me to stop hovering. I hadn't even realized that I was doing it. When she finally pointed it out to me tonight, I decided to take something to help myself sleep, and allow her a little peace as well.

Of course, that would come back to bite me in the ass, wouldn't it?

When the lights in the room came over, I finally opened one eye and looked at Lilah. It was only then that I felt that the bed was wet. "Lilah? What happened?"

Oh sure now he wakes up! I looked over at him. "My.." Another contraction hit and I dug my hands into the sheets. "My water broke." I explained once the pain had stopped.

Well, that would explain the wetness. I woke up quick when she said that. "Alright, let's get going then," I said, getting out of bed. "Where's your suitcase?" We had practiced this, but everything kind of goes out the window when the real thing happens.

"It's by the closet." I told him as he got up and started running around. As I watched him start panicing I found it oddly comforting and somewhat calming.

I got dressed very quickly and grabbed her bag. "We should wake up Roger as well," I said, getting my shoes on.

I watched him get dressed and grab my bag. "Fine we can call him on the way there or after I'm all checked in." I said as another contraction hit.

"Alright, we'll do that then." I was still kind of in my pajamas, but I'm sure that the hospital has seen stranger on soon to be fathers. "Let's get out of here then." I start to lead her to the car.

I just nodded and let him take me to the car. I didn't say anything about his choice in clothes,because really I'm sure the hospital staff have seen far worse.

I didn't say anything else as we drove to the hospital, I just concentrated on slowly breathing.

I quickly got her to the hospital and, after some screaming at the staff in Italian, I got her into a private room where she would be the most comfortable, given the circumstances.

I smiled through the pain watching Wes yell at the hospital staff. A few moments later I'm being moved into a private room and the nurse is coming in to check on me.

I was standing in the room with her at the moment while the nurse checked on her. "I just called Roger. He said that he was on his way," I told her.

I smiled when Wes got off the phone and told me that Roger was on his way. "Good, he'd be a basket case if he missed this."

"He's already a little of a basket case," I told her as I slipped the phone into my pocket. "He'll be here soon, though." He was certainly very *excited* on the phone.

"Well hopefully he'll be fine when he gets here." I said as the nurse continued to check me out.

"I'm sure that the drive will calm him down a bit," I say to her. I watched as the nurse checked all of Lilah's vital signs twice before I finally got aggravated and shooed her out of the room. Better me than an irate Lilah.

Soon enough, Roger had arrived and talked his way into the room as well.
