Welcome to the Slash/Yaoi Music Icon Contest, an icon challenge community. Each week, song lyrics will be given. Members will submit icons related to this song, and icons will be voted on. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners (and possibly a Mod's Choice) will receive banners to display.
Rules
1. Each member may submit two icons per theme. a. Fanart is only acceptable if it is your own or if you have documented proof of the artist's permission.2. All icons must be related to the week's song, and must include at least 3 consecutive words from the lyrics.3. Submitted icons must be compatible with Livejournal. [100x100 and 40kb]4. Don't advertise your icon (tell your friends to vote for your icon - and do not post it -anywhere- until the contest is over). Expect to be banned if you do.5. Submitted icons must be no more than 7 days old.6. You may not vote for your own icon.7. Do not use Live Journal user pics as a form of hosting. Get a Photobucket account, use imageshack.us or use greatestjournal image hosting. All of those are free.(Note: These rules are modified rules from gravi_awards.)
Submissions
On Saturday evening/Sunday Morning, a mod will post a song. Icons related to the song can be submitted from that day until Sunday of the next week, giving two weekends to create. Comments to the submission post will be screened. The submission should contain the following information:[example]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/a220/sylvericons/arms-memory.png[submission times]Saturday [11pm EST] - Sunday of next week [10pm EST]Voting will take place from Sunday to Wednesday. Members of the community will use the poll on the "voting" post.
