- Collect & Go™ lockers presented at new State-of-the-Art Community Health Facility Launched in KaNyamazane, Mpumalanga On November 8, 2024, a new state-of-the-art Ka-Nyamazane Community Health Centre, Ehlanzeni District, was officially opened by the Premier of Mpumalanga Province, Hon. Mandla Ndlovu. As part of the launch, attendees observed a live demonstration of the innovative Collect & Go™ lockers by Right ePharmacy. These lockers securely store chronic ART and non-communicable disease medicine, allowing patients to easily retrieve them using a unique one-time PIN (OTP) received by SMS. Patients simply enter their OTP, and the locker containing their parcel opens automatically, to issue their chronic medicine. Initially rolled out in May 2020 at the old Ka-Nyamazane CHC during the global COVID-19 pandemic, the lockers currently serve 5,230 unique patients, with 2,214 patients actively using the service. With a capacity of up to 624 parcels on a seven-day collection cycle each month, these lockers have facilitated the delivery of 18,920 parcels in Ka-Nyamazane alone. There are ten other high volume public health facilities in Ehlanzeni District which have these smart lockers as part of our APACE program offering. These lockers are funded by the USAID, and implemented by RTC APACE program through Right ePharmacy, in support of the Department of Health and the CCMDD program. The launch event and live demonstration was attended by the MEC for Health plus several other MECs and HODs. Here’s to the scale up of many more Collect & Go™ lockers across the province, increasing access and convenience for even more patients.https://lnkd.in/dmNx_Bhs https://lnkd.in/d8j_6YcR USAID Victor Litlhakanyane Pappie Majuba Eula Mothibi Nonhlanhla N.
