Here's the thing about bacon. It is 100% pure awesome. I think we can all agree on that. *puts fingers in ears and ignores everyone who doesn't*

There's this running joke at work. Not work really, but with the fans of the Pirates of the Burning Sea MMORPG who visit our community forum and IRC chat channel. I was dubbed the Bacon Goddess ages ago due to all of the talk of Maple Bacon Doughnuts from Voodoo Doughnuts and the Deep Fried Bacon Hush Puppies from Sully's.

Thanks to IRC, the whole Bacon Goddess thing was all crazy. A lot of folks in some cooking communities were experimenting with bacon and I really got interested. Then, the bestest recipe ever hit the intarwebs. NeverBashfulWithButter posted her Bacon Chocolate Chip with Maple Cinnamon Glaze.

My desire to experiment with bacon recipes was born. Not just "stuff with bacon in it", but things you'd never think about. I've started collecting recipes and picked up a few from the Pirates of the Burning Sea community members.
