So several weeks back, buffalogal and I bought a Sea-Monkeys kit for Conor. We followed the directions, and a day later, we had Amazing Live Sea-Monkeys®! Unfortunatly a few days after that, nary a one could be found. I thought it got too cold in the kitchen overnight and killed them off.

OR SO WE THOUGHT.

So, we were letting the water evaporate, as you should do when the sea-monkeys are not amazing or live. As there are eggs in there that only hatch the second time they get wet, and some that hatch the third time they get wet. So you let the water evaporate, and add new water and get new sea-monkeys.

So, I was cleaning up the other day, and water level in their tank is about half full, when I notice something moving! There were live sea-monkeys in there after all, and they had grown. Maybe 5 or so. So, I bought some new bottled water, got it to room temprature in the microwave and topped off the tank.

I am surprised that the handful survived such neglect. But I think there was a die off, and only those few survived off of the food that was meant for a full tank.

So we have a tank with about a half-dozen little shrimp now, and I noticed some new babies today as well.

Conor is happy, but not as overjoyed as I thought he would be. I am pretty happy about it to. I love those little critters.

It was our christmas miracle this year.
