Note. According to Cardella, Memorie storiche de' cardinali della Santa Romana Chiesa, IV, 105, the consistory took place in 1529, before January 10; or, according to others, ma meno probabilmente (but less probably) on June 8 or September 19, 1528; Cristofori, Cronotassi dei cardinali de Santa Romana Chiesa, (Rome : Tipografia de Propaganda Fide, 1888), p. 169, mentions October (?) 1529 as the date of this promotion; Eubel, Hierarchia Catholica Medii et Recentoris Aevi, III, 20, says that he received the deaconry of S. Tommaso in Parione on November 15, 1529.
