IMPACT [Aerospace Corp.]

AeroCube 8 (AC8) or IMPACT (), is a two satellite cubesat mission by the Aerospace Corporation of El Segundo to demonstrate a new electric propulsion, nanotechnologies (CNT) and solar cell technologies.

The IMPACT mission consists of two 1.5U Cubesats with the prime mission to demonstrate scalable ion-electrospray Propulsion system (SiEPro). Additional experiments are to measure IV curves for 4-junction IMM solar cells and 5-junction SBT cells, to demonstrate CNT harness and use of CNT/PEEK material and to evaluate CNT radiation-shielding material.
