STARS C [Kagawa University]

Shizuoka University's STARS C (Space Tethered Autonomous Robotic Satellite) consists of a Mother Satellite and a Daughter Satellite connected by a tether.

This is the third mission of the STARS series, but in contrast to the predecessors STARS 1 and 2, this one is constructed to the 2U CubeSat form factor.

The objectives of the mission are:

The satellite was be launched on board of HTV 6 on an H-2B-304 rocket to be delivered to the ISS, from where it was deployed on 19 December 2016.
