This locality is one of the ~40 “genetically” related sub-localities (*) (revealed and/or summarized in Cuchet et al. (2022)) of the giant alpine rare-earth mineralization — with its topographical extension of ~ 20x45 km, in Switzerland and Italy — situated into one precise level of gneiss of the Monte Leone nappe.

This locality is made of very sparse mineralized boulders fallen from the Helsenhorn’s cliffs (similar to the “Passo di Cornera REE-mineralization” locality).
