Canon LC-3 Set (Receiver) WIRELESS CONTROLLER LC-3 SET 1. Overview The LC-3 Wireless Controller Set is an infrared strobe-type wireless controller system with remote release capability, designed for use with cameras having 3-pin remote control sockets (EOS & T-series). The LC-3 has a maximum range of approximately 100m (compared with approximately 60m for the LC-1 and approximately 5m for the LC-;2), and its release function is equipped with a 2-stage switch for use with AF cameras. The LC-3 provides three transmitter channels (A, B, C) , and can also be set to ALL to allow a single controller to operate any number of cameras equipped with receivers within a given area. Both transmitter and receiver operate on four AA batteries (* Canon officially warned users of LC-3 set do not use lithium batteries for the setup).

2. Features * Maximum operating range 100m * Allows wireless remote control a distances of up to 100m, far exceeding previous products. * Multiple LC-3 sets can be linked to extend the control range even further.

d) Delay : shoots one frame approximately 3.5 seconds after shutter button is depressed fully..

* Controlling Film advance mode remotely ,By setting the transmitter mode switch to [ ] 'or [ ] , the user can select either single-shot or rapid-action sequence shooting by remote control.
* Operating several cameras simultaneously Set the transmitter channel switch to ALL to operate any number of receivers (within range) from a single transmitter.
* Wired remote control feature for release-at-a distance from the transmitter. The transmitter has a 3-pin remote control socket to accommodate a 60T3 remote switch (cord length 60cm), allowing the release to be operated at a distance from the transmitter. For distances up to 10m, the 1000T3 extension cord can be used.
* Wireless supplementary lighting The receiver can be used in place of a slave unit to function as wireless supplementary lighting. The light,level is not. variable using this method
* Shorter time lag With the camera set to M (manual) focus mode and pre focused, the receiver main switch can be set to 1SR (one step release: SW-2 signal only) to reduce the time lag to approximately 0.06 seconds.

3. Detailed Design Specifications

d) Delay: Delay mode. Approximately 3.5-second delay after transmitter switch ON signal. Single shot.

Warning: - FR6 (lithium battery) cannot be used due to danger of damage to electronic circuit elements or over-heating.

3. Receiver

3-1. Connection to camera (a) Position The receiver unit attaches directly onto the camera's accessory shoe; the red indicator on the camera remote-control socket aligns with the leading plug indicator on the 3-pin connecting cord (length: approx. 40 cm). (Screw lock included.) (b ) Bracket mounting
The LC-3 includes a bracket (same as LC-2) for use in attaching strobe units, etc., to the camera accessory shoe. (c) Head rotation Rotates 360 degrees.

Battery check When the main switch is moved from OFF to 1SR or ON the indicator lamp lights for 1 to 2 seconds to show that the battery is OK. After 1 second, if the indicator lamp blinks or does not light, the battery is too low.
