Daily Leaders Page (original) (raw)
This page contains the league leaders in several statistical categories at the end of the games played on that day.
At the top of the page there are the following links:
Day - to the daily page PREV - to the previous day leaders page NEXT - to the next day leaders page
The first section contains the batting leaders. The leaders in the following statistical categories will be included:

To qualify for an average category each player must have a minimum of 3.1 PAs per game played by his team.
If a player didn't qualify in the BAVG, OBP or SLG category, but would have been among the leaders with the number of PAs needed to qualify added to his ABs, he is listed along with an asterisk and an explanatory note at the bottom.
The next section contains the pitching leaders. The leaders in the following statistical categories will be included:

For the ERA category, a minimum of one inning pitched per game played by his team.
NOTE: The statistics for any games that were started on this date but completed at a later date are included. This is a problem, but it is a very difficult one to correct, and hopefully is rare enough not to present too much confusion.
