This page contains fielding information about each game played by the player during the season.

At the top of the page there are the following links:

Player - to the player page PREV - to the player's previous fielding game log NEXT - to the player's next fielding game log

For each game, the following information is included:

Date - The date of the game

- 1 if the first game of a doubleheader, 2 if the second, and blank otherwise

Opponent - team played plus "AT" if the game was away and "VS" if the game was home BOX - A link to the game's box score POS - Defensive Position GS - 1 if the player started the game at this position CG - 1 if the player played the complete game at this position INN - Innings Played PO - Putouts A - Assists E - Errors DP - Double Plays TP - Triple Plays PB - Passed Balls SB - Stolen Bases Allowed CS - Caught Stealing PkO - PickOffs AVG - Fielding Average ((PO + A) / (PO + A + E))

The Fielding Average reflects the player's overall fielding average (for all positions combined) at the end of that game.

The following abbreviations are used for defensive positions:

P - Pitcher C - Catcher 1B - First Baseman 2B - Second Baseman 3B - Third Baseman SS - Shortstop LF - Left Fielder CF - Center Fielder RF - Right Fielder OF - Outfielder DH - Designated Hitter PH - Pinch Hitter PR - Pinch Runner H - Entered as PH or PR and Batted Again

1 - (For games without Play-by-play) Played more than one position

Note: Defensive PB, SB, CS and PkO are kept for both pitchers and catchers.

Also note: Retrosheet's defensive stats are unofficial and the sum of a player's daily totals will in many cases not add up to his official totals.
