- The 2005 season was the Carolina Panthers' 11th in the National Football League (NFL) and their fourth under head coach John Fox. It was also the team's ninth season at Bank of America Stadium. They improved on their 7–9 record from 2004, going 11–5, and made it to the playoffs for the first time since their Super Bowl appearance in 2003. They eventually fell to the Seattle Seahawks 34–14 in the NFC Championship Game. (en)
