Thromboxane A synthase 1 (EC 5.3.99.5, platelet, cytochrome P450, family 5, subfamily A), also known as TBXAS1, is a cytochrome P450 enzyme that, in humans, is encoded by the TBXAS1 gene.

Mutationen am TBXAS1-Gen können zu TXAS- und Thromboxanmangel, sowie zu einer (seltenen) Dysplasie, dem Ghosal-Syndrom, führen. TXAS ist Target bei der Behandlung chronisch-entzündlicher Darmerkrankungen, sowie bei der Blasenkrebs-Behandlung, um die Menge der eingesetzten Chemotherapeutika zu reduzieren. Auch bei Darmkrebs und Prostatakrebs ist die TXAS-Produktion erhöht.
