التحليل التجريبي للسلوك (EAB) هو مدرسة فكرية في علم النفس تأسست على فلسفة بورهوس فريدريك سكينر للسلوكية الجذرية وتعرف المبادئ الأساسية المستخدمة في تحليل السلوك التطبيقي (ABA). كان المبدأ الرئيسي هو الاستقرائي، القائم على البيانات في دراسة العلاقات الوظيفية، على عكس أنواع نظرية التعلم الاستنتاجية الافتراضية التي نشأت في علم النفس المقارن في فترة 1920-1950. تميز نهج سكينر بالملاحظة التجريبية للسلوك القابل للقياس والذي يمكن التنبؤ به والتحكم فيه. يعود الفضل في نجاحه المبكر إلى فعالية إجراءات سكينر في عملية الإشراط الاستثابي، سواء في المختبر أو في علاج السلوك.

Basierend auf der Wissenschaftstheorie des Radikalen Behaviorismus untersucht die Experimentelle Verhaltensanalyse die funktionalen Zusammenhänge zwischen dem Verhalten von Tieren und Menschen und der Umwelt. Skinner's philosophy of radical behaviorism and defines the basic principles used in applied behavior analysis. A central principle was the inductive reasoning data-driven examination of functional relations, as opposed to the kinds of hypothetico-deductive learning theory that had grown up in the comparative psychology of the 1920–1950 period. Skinner's approach was characterized by observation of measurable behavior which could be predicted and controlled. It owed its early success to the effectiveness of Skinner's procedures of operant conditioning, both in the laboratory and in behavior therapy.
