Partij voor Vrijheid en Vooruitgang (Partit per la Llibertat i el Progrés, PVV) és el nom que adoptà a Flandes el Partit Liberal, arran que el 1961 se separés en les dues branques, flamenca i valona, i que el 15 de novembre de 1992 fou substituït pel Vlaamse Liberalen en Democraten.El 1961 canvià el nom del Partit Liberal pel de PVV/PLP (Partij voor Vrijheid en Vooruitgang/Parti de la Liberté et du Progrès). Va obtenir el 21,6% dels vots a les eleccions legislatives belgues de 1965 i el 1966 formà part del govern de Paul Vanden Boeynants. Els ministres liberals d'aleshores foren Willy De Clercq, , , , i . El 27 de juny de 1971 el partit es va dividir definitivament entre la secció flamenca (PVV) i valona (Parti Réformateur Libéral) i es presentaren separats a les eleccions legislatives belgues de 1971. El PVV va obtenir bons resultats, mentre que el PRL va obtenir mals resultats. The Party for Freedom and Progress (Dutch: Partij voor Vrijheid en Vooruitgang; French: Parti de la Liberté et du Progrès; German: Partei für Freiheit und Fortschritt, PVV-PLP) was a liberal political party in Belgium which existed from 1961 until 1992. The party was the successor of the Liberal Party, which had roots dating back to 1846. It was succeeded in the Flemish Community of Belgium by the Flemish Liberals and Democrats (VLD) and in the French Community by the Liberal Reformist Party, and the current-day Reformist Movement. In the German-speaking Community, it still exists as the Party for Freedom and Progress. (en)

Il Partito della Libertà e del Progresso (in francese: Parti de la liberté et du progrès - PLP), o Partito per la Libertà e il Progresso (in olandese: Partij voor Vrijheid en Vooruitgang - PVV), fu un partito politico belga di orientamento liberale. Affermatosi nel 1962 dalla trasformazione del Partito Liberale, nel 1972 si scisse in due distinte formazioni: * il Partito della Libertà e del Progresso, operativo in Vallonia e nella porzione francofona di Bruxelles, confluito nel 1979 nel Partito Riformatore Liberale; * il Partito per la Libertà e il Progresso, operativo nelle Fiandre e nella porzione fiamminga di Bruxelles, destinato a dar vita, nel 1992, ai Liberali e Democratici Fiamminghi. Nella comunità germanofona del Belgio, invece, nel 1961 era stato fondato il Partito per la Libertà e il Progresso. (it)
