عمليات النقل بالقطار (بالإنجليزية: Rail transport operations) النقل بالسكة الحديد تعتمد على عنصرين رئيسيين: الأجهزة المتحركة (مثل القاطرات، وعربات الركاب، وعربات البضائع، وغيرها) و البنية التحتية (وهي السكة الثابتة، والفضبان، والمحطات، ومخازن البضائع والمنقولات، والقناطر، والأنفاق، وغيرها) .
