Shelly Kagan (* 1956) ist Professor für Philosophie an der Yale University. Er ist vor allem für seine Veröffentlichungen im Bereich der Moralphilosophie und der normativen Ethik bekannt. Darin beschäftigt er sich insbesondere mit der Debatte zwischen konsequentialistischen und deontologischen Theorien.
