System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) es un sistema de administración del centro de datos interplataforma, para sistemas operativos e hipervisores. Utiliza una interfaz simple que muestra información del estado, la salud y el rendimiento del sistema. También proporciona alertas generadas de acuerdo a la identificación de situaciones de disponibilidad, seguridad, configuración o rendimiento. Diese werden von Microsoft und anderen Unternehmen vorkonfiguriert geliefert und enthalten ein Regelwerk mit Grenzwerten, wann die jeweils überwachte Software oder das System kritische Werte erreicht. Diese können auf verschiedenen Wegen an den Administrator berichtet werden. MPs liefern zu den berichteten Problemen auch Hinweise auf deren mögliche Ursachen und Lösungen sowie Vorschläge für Werkzeuge, die zu deren Bearbeitung geeignet sein könnten. MOM wordt vooral in rekencentra ingezet. MOM is door het bedrijf NetIQ als Operations Manager ontwikkeld en in 2001 verkocht aan Microsoft. NetIQ verkoopt zelf nog een concurrerend product onder de naam AppManager. MOM maakt het mogelijk de door Windows-systemen in logbestanden vastgelegde events te analyseren.
