Miles Francis Stapleton Fitzalan Howard, 17th Duke of Norfolk was born on 21 July 1915.1 He was the son of Bernard Edward Fitzalan-Howard, 3rd Baron Howard of Glossop and Mona Josephine Tempest Stapleton, Baroness Beaumont.3 He married Ann Mary Teresa Constable-Maxwell, daughter of W/Cdr.
