Brigadier Archer Francis Lawrence Clive was born on 24 June 1903.3 He was the son of Lt.-Gen. Sir George Sidney Clive and Madeline Buxton.4,3 He married, firstly, Hon. Penelope Isobel Portman, daughter of Gerald Berkeley Portman, 7th Viscount Portman of Bryanston and Dorothy Marie Isolde Sheffield, on 8 February 1934.5 He and Hon. Penelope Isobel Portman were divorced in 1949.3 He married, secondly, Olivia Mary Beatrice Stanley, daughter of Lt.-Col. Hon. Frederick William Stanley and Lady Alexandra Louise Elizabeth Acheson, on 3 October 1950.4 He died in March 1995 at age 91.6

Dulcibella Eden was born on 23 May 1891.1 She was the daughter of Robert Hildyard Henley Eden and Maud Effie Mary von Guttenberg.1 She married, firstly, Llewellyn Arthur Hugh-Jones, son of Llewellyn Hugh-Jones, on 29 July 1914.1 She and Llewellyn Arthur Hugh-Jones were divorced in 1924.1 She married, secondly, Eustace Gurney Pelly, son of John Gurney Richard Pelly and Jane Gurney Leatham, on 1 December 1924 at Southampton, Hampshire, England.1 She died in 1980 at Hampshire, England.2
From 29 July 1914, her married name became Hugh-Jones.1 From 1 December 1924, her married name became Pelly.1

He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.4 He was educated at University College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG.4 He fought in the Second World War. He gained the rank of Flight-Lieutenant in the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve.1
