The Menier Chocolate Factory is an off West End Theatre which opened in 2004 and houses the Theatre itself, a rehearsal space, and a restaurant, bar, and art gallery.
This small but highly successful 150 seat studio Theatre is situated in a building which was first opened by the French Company Menier in 1870 as its London based Chocolate Factory, which, before the Theatre was constructed, had been derelict since the 1980s.
The original exposed wooden beams, cast iron columns, and exposed brick walls of the former factory have all been retained giving the Theatre a unique and delightful feel. The building was given a Grade II Listed status in 1996. The Theatre is home to a variety of plays and musicals, along with staging live music concerts and comedy.
