The urge to entertain came early for Christina with an appearance on TV's Star Search at age 9, talent shows and special singing engagements, and as a member of the member of The New Mickey Mouse Clubby age 12. When Christina was 14 she toured Japan after dueting with Japanese singer, Keizo Nakanishi, on "All I Wanna Do." But childhood and emerging stardom didn't come easy for Christina. Her childhood included a traumatic family life and Christina was often subjected to threats and vandalism at her home from other peers and families jealous of her participation in local talent shows - eventually resulting in the family moving. June 2: Christina made the cross-over to eventual stardom with a request to audition and then sing the track "Reflection" for the Disney film Mulan - a Top 20 Adult Contemporary hit.
