Kovar, Texas
Saints Peter and Paul's Church with its adjoining cemetery occupies the SE corner of Zimerhansel and Stolle Road and a large SPJST Hall is a short distance to the north. Two other cemeteries are a quarter of a mile west of the SPJST building.

Kovar Cemeteries

"The photograph that you have of the Barton's Creek Catholic Cemetery posted with Kirtley is not in the correct place. There is no Catholic Cemetery at Kirtley. There was a Barton's Creek Cemetery there, but this isn't the one.

The photo you have is of the cemetery that is located at Kovar, TX in Bastrop County. I don't have the history of the community to refer to, but apparently the community was called Barton Creek (no apostrophe) initially, so that's the name of the cemetery even though the community is now called Kovar. I have a great-great aunt buried there.

There is also an SPJST cemetery nearby.

It gets confusing when there are such similar names in two adjoining counties - just like the two Pin Oaks in Fayette and Bastrop Counties." -
