William FitzWilliam, 6th Earl FitzWilliam, 1892 1

William Thomas Spencer Fitzwilliam, 6th Earl Fitzwilliam was born on 12 October 1815.3 He was the son of Charles William Fitzwilliam, 5th Earl Fitzwilliam and Hon. Mary Dundas.3 He married Lady Frances Harriet Douglas, daughter of George Sholto Douglas, 17th Earl of Morton and Frances Theodora Rose, on 10 September 1838.4 He died on 20 February 1902 at age 86.3
He graduated from Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)3 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Malton between 1837 and 1841.3 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Malton between 1846 and 1847.3 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Wicklow between 1847 and 1857.3 He held the office of Aide-de-Camp to HM Queen Victoria.3 He succeeded as the 8th Baron Fitzwilliam, of Liffer, co. Donegal [I., 1620] on 4 October 1857.3 He succeeded as the 6th Viscount Milton, co. Westmeath [I., 1716] on 4 October 1857.3 He succeeded as the 6th Earl Fitzwilliam, co. Tyrone [I., 1716] on 4 October 1857.3 He succeeded as the 4th Viscount Milton [G.B., 1746] on 4 October 1857.3 He succeeded as the 4th Earl Fitzwilliam, of Norborough, co. Northampton [G.B., 1746] on 4 October 1857.3 He succeeded as the 4th Lord Fitzwilliam, Baron Milton, co. Northampton [G.B., 1742] on 4 October 1857.3 He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of the West Riding, Yorkshire.3 He was appointed Knight, Order of the Garter (K.G.)5
