my name is sarah. a completely unoriginal name, i know. it's hebrew, and means 'princess'. it's also a name used in the bible. and if you know my parents, well, you'd see why i have this name. my middle name is elizabeth. sarah elizabeth. if you, and by you i mean the person who is very bored and actually reading this, are also named sarah elizabeth, i would love to hear from you. hooray for sarah elizabeths. there seems to be just /so/ many of us.

some useful things to know when reading my lj:

(+) i am a very opinionated and somewhat confused individual. i am prone to ranting, raving, and other sorts of anger management through writing and most of the time i tend to put these in friendslocked posts; however, some slip through the wires.
(+) i have a lot of trouble with love. i'm not really sure what exactly "love" is, but i think i've experienced it before, and it was nice. <3
(+) i have four best friends, which make up the best friend quadumverate. :) their names are mary, davita, meredith, and amy. my two honorable mentions are roomy meg and my big sister jennie. :D
(+) i am an obsessive person. while not following typical fads, i tend to get really infatuated with something for quite some time. I <3 phantom of the opera in any format, labyrinth, a nightmare on elm street, alice in wonderland, little red riding hood, les miserables, fushigi yuugi, final fantasy games, harry potter, and pern mu*ing with all my heart.
(+) i love horror films. the more thought out, the more "legend" oriented, and the more ghost story involvement, the better. (e.g. stephen king's rose red, the diary of ellen rimbauer, dracula, urban legend, halloween)
(+) i pern mu*. i love pern mu*ing. it brings joy to my days. sadly, my computer connection from school blatantly refuses to let me on most of the time. however, i still have my beloved characters, and when i get time, i try to make the worlds of beyond the starstones and pernworld a little more interesting.

There is a legend about a bird which sings just once in its life, more sweetly than any other creature on the face of the earth. From the moment it leaves the nest it searches for a thorn tree, and does not rest until it has found one. Then, singing among the savage branches, it impales itself upon the longest, sharpest spine. And, dying, it rises above its own agony to out-carol the lark and the nightingale. One superlative song, existence the price. But the whole world stills to listen, and God in His heaven smiles. For the best is only bought at the cost of great pain.... Or so says the legend.

and i've always been a sucker for a man in a mask.. @>----
