Clinical examination revealed right hypoglossal nerve palsy, and right lateral pharyngeal wall and tonsil were displaced medially. Right serous otitis media along with ipsilateral cervical and axillary lymphadenopathy were present. Blood biochemistry and urine examination were normal. An irregular heterogenous-enhancing mass in the right parapharyngeal space encasing the internal and external carotid arteries was evident on CT. Bone marrow biopsy was free from lymphomatous involvement. Intraoral biopsy from the nasopharyngeal bulge was consistent with a submucosal malignant round cell tumour. Immunohistochemistry showed tumour cells which were CD20 and CD22 positive, and negative for CD5, Desmin, Cytokeratin (CK), CD99, and synaptophysin; with a proliferative fraction (Ki-67 index) of greater than 98%. A diagnosis of Burkitt's lymphoma of the parapharyngeal space, stage II E was made. Patient responded to chemotherapy. Sporadic Burkitt's lymphoma in an immunocompetent Indian male is being reported because of its unusual location-parapharyngeal space.

However, many of these studies lacked adequate control of the ethnic group which may be confounding the altitude differences. In addition, few studies have examined the sources of variation in birth weight at high altitudes that may be related to ethnic group adaptation to the stresses of this hypoxic environment. In our study, we tested the hypotheses that the effect of altitude differences in newborn length depends on ethnic variation. Samples of 3359 healthy male newborns from different areas in Kyrgyzstan between the years 2003 and 2011 were analyzed for altitude and ethnic variation on male newborn length. Our results indicate significant decrease in male newborn length as a latitude increase. It is concluded that ethnic group difference in pregnancy outcome reflects a better state of adaptation to high altitude in this healthy indigenous population and that long-term genetic selection may be the most plausible explanation for these ethnic differences.

World Health Organization (WHO) announced the COVID-19 outbreak as a pandemic on 11 March 2020. The B cells in our immune system play a major role in protecting against viruses, bacterium, or other pathogens by producing different classes of antibodies. This study aimed to evaluate the correlation between antibodies production (IgG and IgM) and several factors; age, sex, co-morbidity diseases, patient’s blood group, and Chest computed tomography (CT) findings. IgG and IgM antibody levels were determined for 500 COVID-19 Russian patients. There was a significant inverse correlation (χ2 = 92.53, df = 2, P < 0.001) between IgG antibody production and disease severity determined by CT scan. However, other clinical factors, such as blood group, and co-morbidity diseases, were not significantly associated with antibody production among COVID-19 patients. from the results in this study show that lung damage finding in CT decreases the immune system’s capacity and worsens symptoms and severity of COVID-19. Funding Statement: This paper has been supported by the RUDN University Strategic Academic Leadership Program. Declaration of Interests: The authors declare no conflict of interest. Ethics Approval Statement: The Ethical Committee approved the study of Clinical studies at the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia. (IRB no. 2019-0300/1198).

The proposed film was synthesised by mixing chitosan (CS) solution and polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) using solvent casting. The modified chitosan/PVA films were then subjected to analysis by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), in which intermolecular hydrogen bonding between the molecules of CS and PVA was clearly demonstrated. The swelling degree of chitosan along with the contact angle were also examined. After the addition of genipin, which increased chitosan concentration the swelling degree, degradation rate, and contact angle was decreased. The results confirm that the properties of chitosan are such that they can be employed for tissue engineering applications.
