Welcome to Denvention3, a LiveJournal community dedicated to those attending Denvention 3, the 2008 World Science Fiction Convention in Denver (August 6th - 10th, 2008).

This community is intended for the use of those attending (or hoping to attend) Denvention 3. Please feel free to participate if you're at all interested -- I've left the community open to anyone who wants to join. However, also keep our primary purpose in mind, and please keep posts on-topic (although if followups to those posts should meander off somewhere else, that's perfectly fine). Any discussion in any way related to the 2008 WorldCon is welcome, be it discussion of the venue, news about the con, other things to do in Colorado while attending, things occuring at the con such as the Hugos or programming, whether or not specific people will be attending, finding roommates, finding people to buy a membership should events force you to sell yours... Well, you get the idea.

Disclaimers:

This community is not officially affiliated with Denvention 3 or the convention committee. It was created entirely due to my enthusiasm for the convention, both as a local, and as the person who had previously created the nippon2007 community. Some of the members of this community are memebers of the committee as well (and I'm a volunteer myself), but while the Official Word on some topic or other may be posted here for the convenience of LJ users, things posted by committee members may or may not be the official views of the convention. We'll try to keep things that are official clearly marked as such.

I reserve the right to delete any posts that are abusive, vulgar, offensive to the community at large, or completely off-topic. I don't expect that this will be problem, as I expect most of the members will be here because they're interested in attending, but I just want to be clear on this point up front.
