_3:18 pm_[epaige21] | Ruby Pounds the Pavement to Lose Weight ooking for some inspiration to get in shape?Try tuning in to Ruby, Style's hit reality show about Ruby Gettinger's battle with obesity."One day after watching, I was like, 'I need to go to the gym,'" recalls Molly Sullivan, 42, a human resources worker from Camarillo, Calif. "Ten days later, I joined a gym and now we're four months later and I'm losing weight."And how's it going for Molly? Molly has shed 41 pounds! So it was no surprise that she was among the the hundreds of people who came out yesterday morning to join Ruby (see photo above) on the Los Angeles stop of her nationwide "Walk Across America" tour."I saw these women crying on Oprah, talking about how they never went out of their homes," Ruby told us. "They're fighting the same thing I'm fighting, but I've always gone out my home. I was 716 pounds and I lived my life no matter what."Ruby recently heard from one such woman who started riding a bike after she saw her doing it. "She said these kids were making fun of her so she said, 'I'm not going to do this anymore,'" Ruby said. "But then she thought about it and said, 'Yes, I am,' because she heard what I said, that they'll eventually shut up. She said they did shut up and now they're her friends!"http://www.eonline.com/uberblog/marc\_malkin/b133738\_ruby\_pounds\_pavement\_lose\_weight.html (1 Comment |Comment on this) |

_8:15 pm_[lagomorph_punk] | Hello to all HeyJust joined this page as I am trying to keep an online journal of myself losing weight in an honest way as it has been difficult to keep track and I keep yo-yoing with my weight.I have joined wait watchers and so far it has helped, but I am just hoping that being online and not being “judged” will help me motivate myself to put down the bad foods and wise up and not kid myself into thinking that that extra helping want do any damage. When actually it’s another 2 hours of working out on the treadmill. Will also put up any tips and recipes I create to help out others :) Current Mood: cheerful (3 Comments |Comment on this) |

_11:50 pm_[aseventeen] | Okay...I've done a lot of diets in the past... mostly ones I cooked up on my own. Mostly crash diets. I'm looking for one that isn't a crash diet. I'm looking for a diet that gets me all the vitamins, proteins, and carbs that my body NEEDS. I'm also looking for one that doesn't take a lot of cooking or preparation because I don't have a lot of time. Here are my stats:Age: SeveteenGender: FemaleHeight: 5"7 Weight: 275 poundsI'm a vegitarian, also. Really, what i'm looking for is how many servings of fruit, veggies, dairy, meat (I could live through chicken, I think), Carbs, ect. I should be getting a day according to age and gender and such.If anyone could help me out it would be MUCH appreicated. (1 Comment |Comment on this) |

_5:12 pm_[steveokeefe] | Blood Type Diet Takes Evolutionary Leap I have permission from Broadway Books to distribute an excerpt from the revolutionary new book, "The GenoType Diet," by Dr. Peter J. D'Adamo, author of the blockbuster bestseller, "Eat Right 4 Your Type."Dr. D'Adamo helped millions of people achieve better health through eating properly for their blood type. In "The GenoType Diet," his work takes an evolutionary leap. Based on years of research into human genetics, "The GenoType Diet" is a sophisticated approach to healthy eating and weight loss based on six common genetic profiles. Why six?"Why are there four blood types," the author asks. He didn't make up these profiles -- they naturally surface through analysis of vast amounts of data connecting blood type, disease, and genetics. The six "GenoTypes" derive from genetically-encoded survival strategies that cause some people to hoard fat, others to be allergic to grains, others to have trouble digesting dairy products, and so on."The GenoType Diet" will help you quickly determine your GenoType using a simple questionnaire. Then Dr. D'Adamo provides nutritional guidance based on your genetic tendencies that can silence genes that trigger disease or weight gain while encouraging genes that boost immune response, retard aging, and so on.The science behind gene stimulation and retardation is called "methylation" -- coating genes through diet to make them harder or easier to express. The excerpt I'm distributing explains how methylation works and how it relates to human nutrition. You'll find the excerpt from "The GenoType Diet" at the following URL, or send me email and I will reply with the text -- and *only* the text -- no file attachments or opt-in mailing list jive:http://www.authorviews.com/authors/dadamo/obd.htm (Comment on this) |

_5:30 pm_[zombiesrsexy] | I'm neeewww!! Hello everyone, I'm new. My name is Tammi, I'm 5'2" and I currently weigh 172. I've lost 11 pounds in the last 3 months and I'm pretty much stuck above 170. I've been trying to do exercises every day, at least a little something, walking, crunches, yoga, weights. I just started taking Hydroxycut Hardcore but I've been sick so I couldnt' take it for the last two days. I just need help staying motivated. My boyfriend and all my friends pretty much eat whatever they want, and some of them can do that because they are so skinny! I just feel like I'm the biggest of all my friends and I''m sick of being the fat one. My boyfriend thinks I'm beautiful the way I am but sometimes when I've lost a few pounds he says "wow, you look amazing today" which makes me feel so good! He really does encourage me but still lets me know I'm beautiful no matter what. I just need to do this for myself. Hopefully I can get some good tips from you guys! My short term goal weight is 155, and my long term is 130. I'm getting married within the next year and a half hopefully (it all depends on money!) and I want to look the best I can by then! _5:58 pm_[jubblyjulia] | hello....i'm 14 and weigh 145 pounds and am 5'4". i'm trying my hardest to get over an eating disorder. it's so hard. but i figured that this community could help. i told my mom about my ED and asked her if i could do weight watchers to get me back on a normal eating pattern, but she said she didn't believe me about my eating disorder. i'm so lost right now. when i do eat, i feel like i'm eating too much and when i don't eat there's an empty feeling inside of me (not only my stomach). any advice on approaching her again with the question?
